FEED 60+ prisoners
for one month
At the police station in Mpulungu, there are three holding cells where those accused of crimes are kept for days to months at a time. The government does not provide them with any food or toilet facilities other than a plastic bag or bucket in a small concrete cell crowded with 20 or more men per cell. For the last several years, local missionaries from Lake Tanganyika in Zambia have brought food and the Gospel to prisoners here, 6 days a week. Some prisoners have been in the cells for months and the one meal per day we take them is the only food they receive.
